SENIORS MATCH REPORT v PENRITH RAMS
DESPITE kicking with a slight breeze in the first term, the Jets were jumped by the Rams as the home team won the centre clearances and slammed on the first two goals before Nor-West could even blink.
The Jets were being tested by a physical game plan by Penrith, but they countered well with a team-lifting run and 50m goal from Aaron Snowy Clayden.
Michael Cranky Craigie presented a solid target up forward and Owen Dildo Butcher and Cheyne Ox Anderson were providing running options on the wide wings.
The Jets lost Anthony Hooker Joyce to a punch that saw the Ram red-carded and the visitors took a two point lead at the break.
The Jets were told to use their hands running off half back into the wind in the second, and it worked well through Jack Sparra Pascoe, Paul Wanga Sherwood and Aaron Hank Bayne, who supplied the likes of Ed Hollywood Sullivan, Gerard Knuckles Smits and Adam Fire Fox.
Dale Boots Wellington and Paul Spider Webster played the big man roles to perfection and Chris Disco Kyle led hard as the Nor-West kept Penrith goalless to build a 20-point lead at half time.
Neither team gave an inch in the third term and both played some great football, although the Jets kicked the first two before losing Pascoe to a hamstring injury, which saw in-form centreman Nick General Milkins moved to centre half back, where he played a starring role to ensure the visitors extended their lead again with four goals to three for the term.
Nor-West’s fitness proved the decisive factor in the final wash-up, kicking six goals in the last quarter as it used its running game to great effect.
Penrith added three of its own but Nor-West secured a hard fought win, the first time they have beaten the Rams twice in a row since 2004.

RESERVES MATCH REPORT v PENRITH RAMS
A SIX-goal haul from returning big man Matthew Velvet Lloyd helped the Jets to an easy 89-point win over the Rams in the early match.
Lloyd, who has been overseas on deployment all season, slotted in perfectly to replace last week’s unavailable 10-goal hero Mick Barny Lewis and he provided a big target that was too much for the Rams to handle.
His job, however, was made much easier by the performance of the feathered duo Marty Chook Ingham and Brett Bertie Carroll, who flittered around everywhere and accumulated numerous possessions around the middle of the ground.
Adam Elmo Newton was busy in the ruck to provide them with some excellent service, while the Andy Flying Doormat McDonnell dominated out of defence, tagging Penrith star Jason Ware, as did the big Sam MakoShark Makins, who started forward but quickly found his niche down back.
Brad Bluey Goodwin kicked three goals and took an impressive mark that was only tarnished by an equally impressive effort to miss the goal by so much, but with 10 goalkickers, it was never going to matter.
