SENIORS MATCH REPORT vs SOUTHERN POWER
The Nor-West Jets began their assault on the 2009 Sydney AFL season in an impressive fashion, knocking off the Southern Power at Gwawley Park by 56 points.
The Jets, who havent won at Taren Point since 2006, started the game with a bang, kicking 3 goals in the first quarter, off the back of some strong midfield work from ruckman Dale Boots Wellington, and the on ball brigade of Aaron Snowy Clayden, Nick General Milkins, captain Casey BOFT Wenselowski, Adam Foxy Fox, Owen Dildo Butcher & Jack Sparrow Pascoe. The Power were pushing hard to add their own score, but the Jets backline held strong, in particular Paul Wanga Sherwood & Aaron Hank Bayne. Jake Plums Berry owned his wing, as did Gerard Ged Smits, and with some slick ball movement, the Jets added 4 more goals to the Powers one to lead by 37 points at half time.
The third quarter proved a tight affair, with the Power throwing everything in the Shire at Nor-West, but still couldnt find that elusive second goal, as the Jets added another, to set up a 47 point gap at the final break. The last quarter saw the Jets, through some undisciplined acts, gift the Power with 3 goals, but added 4 of their own, to run out winners.

RESERVES MATCH REPORTS vs UNSW/ES BULLDOGS
Reserve Grade made the trip to Village Green on Sunday for the first time since 2006, to take on UNSW/ES Bulldogs. Despite the long trip, the Jets showed up with more players than spots available, and hats off to Don Waterston for making the effort from Shellharbour, but unfortunately had to miss the game.
The game started in a flurry, with both teams sharing goals (very tiny goals!) and no quarter given all game. The Jets added 3 goals and conceded 2 in the first term, and with Daniel DeeGee Graham returning to form at full forward, Scott Cindy Braid on fore in the middle, and Jack Pedro Wilson, playing his first game of football, controlling the rucks, put on 2 more to take a 6 point lead at the long break.
The second half saw the Jets superior fitness and skill come to the fore, adding 5 goals in the 3rd quarter in a scintillating effort, with 15 year old Josh Bondi Cass moving like a seasoned veteran, taking a huge knock by one of the Bulldogs, only to get back on his feet, take on two defenders with a huge sidestep and kick truly from 40 out. He is a player to watch in the future. Matt Mavros Davidson was moving back into his best form in the centre, ably assisted by Brett Carroll on the forward flank, while Sam Sammy Tanuku and Daniel Lenny Langford played the perfect half backs game, constantly setting up forward attacks, and the oldest wingers in Australian Football, Rod Rocket Bayne (49) and Les Cass (53) teaching their younger, fresher opponents how to attack the pill and play the game.
The last term was all Nor-West, firing home 7 more goals in a polished display, running out convincing winners.

With 6 players new to the game in the magoos, and many more to come back over the next few weeks, selection will only get tougher, giving the coaching panel many headaches on Thursday nights.
Seniors have the bye next round, with the Reserves to take on Camden at Bensons Lane.
