Seniors
After suffering a disappointing loss against the bottom side Balmain last round, not even the most confident of North Shore
supporters could have predicted the performance by North
Shore on Saturday at Henson Park.
Up against the top side in the competition, the UNSW-ES Bulldogs who despatched North Shore
by 157 points at there last meeting, North
Shore
were well and truly up against it as they had to win to keep their
finals hopes alive. And keep them alive they did through an inspired
performance to completely outplay there more fancied rivals winning by
78 points. It was the Bomber youngsters that led the way for North Shore with Will Sierakowski, Sam Carruthers, Max Wilson and Lachlan Pryor all outstanding for North Shore.
They were supported well by a few of the more established players in
Ron Wason, Ben Attwood and Chris Murphy who were again outstanding.
The win sees North Shore
going into the last four games only one game out of the five and they will take on Campbelltown, Western Suburbs, Wollongong
and Sydney Uni in the remaining four rounds to have a shot at defending their 2007 premiership.
