Seniors
North Shore secured their first points for the season with a win against the Balmain Dockers at Gore Hill on Saturday. With both sides looking for their first win, it was never going to be an easy win for the Bombers and the Dockers made them earn the points right until the end. Encouraging for North Shore was the return to form of some of the teams “Baby Bombers” with strong games from Teddy Strudwick, Adrian Harry and Chris Mackinnon. The younger brigade were ably supported by the senior players such as Ron Wason who led from the front lifting his side through hard chasing and strong tackles that had the Dockers looking over their collective shoulders throughout the game. Next Saturday at Gore Hill, North Shore will be looking for their second win when they take on UNSW-ES Bulldogs who have enjoyed a strong start to the 2008 season.
