Pennant Hills 24.19 (163) def North Shore 13.5 (83)

After a narrow loss to St George last round, North Shore were looking for a strong second round showing to secure their first premiership points against Pennant Hills. For the first 10 minutes of the first quarter North Shore showed they were there to play and secured a four goal break. For the rest of the game, Pennant Hills showed North Shore how to play hard running football and blew the Bombers off Gore Hill Oval. It was a disappointing game for North Shore but the Bombers can be bouyed by strong performances by Jamie O’Dell and Ben Attwood. Max Wilson continued his good form in the ruck but Pennant Hills had far too many winners on the day and it will be a determined North Shore that return to Gore Hill next week still searching for their first win. The North Shore Bombers U18 team flew the flag for North Shore on an otherwise ordinary day. It was a hard fought victory with Pennant Hills fighting back hard in the last quarter and nearly stealing victory. Jack Lumsden was solid for North Shore and he was supported well by Justin Hall, Chris Macinnon and Levi Brain.

The North Shore Bears made the journey to Wollongong but the Lions were too strong on the day and ran away with a 6 goal win. Best for North Shore were Lachlan Clancy, Ian Robertson and Jason Harry.
