Leadership Group Announced

Despite the wet weather playing havoc with our final training session, the clubhouse at Gore Hill Oval was packed on Thursday night. A spit-roast ensured the masses were fed, and all the talk was on the season to come.

Our leadership group for the 2014 season was announced. Senior coach Jon Hayres has a strong squad, and many players will be called on to play leadership roles during the season.

Sam Carruthers will be captain for 2014, and will be assisted in on-field leadership by Chris Murphy, Selby Lee-Steere and Dale Fitzgerald.

Our reserves will be playing in Div 2 this season. Liam McColl will captain the side, with Anthony Johnson also stepping into a leadership role.

Our Under 19s will be led on the field by Sudket Fraser-Krause; while Andrew Montgomery will assume the on-field leadership of our Div 4 & 5 squads.

Congratulations to all our leadership group. We've got a strong club this year; and there'll be times this season when all players, not just those named in a group, to step up and show leadership.
