It's been quite a year for North Shore young gun Rory Pryor. Beginning the year in the Under 18s, he made such an impact that it didn't take long to be promoted to the Premier Division. He has continued to impress in Sydney footy's top echelon earning a Rising Star nomination. We will all remember his heroics to get the Bombers over the line in Wollongong.
His meteoric rise has attracted further attention, getting the call-up to play a few games for the Swans' reserves. One of his appearances for the Swans was in the local derby against GWS Giants, where he got the opportunity to match up on marquee signing Israel Folau. Rory more than held his own, restricting the ex NRL legend to three goals, two of them in time-on in the final quarter.
Congratulations to Rory for his season to date. Hopefully his run of form will continue through the finals. On Sunday he'll be lining up for the Bombers at Blacktown in our elimination final against Pennant Hills.
