North Shore youngster James Webster is the latest AFL Sydney player to join an AFL club under the NSW Scholarship Program after today being taken by Essendon in the AFL Rookie Draft.
The 18 year old midfielder will join the Bombers after impressing with the Team GWS TAC Cup side, whom he played 11 games with in 2010. Webster was also a member of the NSW/ACT Rams side who contested the Under 18's National CHampionships.
Webster joined North Shore in 2009 from the Central Coast playing 16 games in his first season.
Webster is the seventh AFL Sydney player who will join an AFL club for the 2011 season.
