The Nor-West Jets are at the top of the runway and awaiting take-off ahead of this week's opening round Sydney AFL Division One clash with Holroyd-Parramatta at Gipps Road, Greystanes, on Saturday.
The Jets are back in first division after back to back second division premierships and their first sights are set on the Goannas, who they have never beaten in senior football.
However, Nor-West takes a 16-match winning streak stretching back to the 2005 preliminary final into this match and will be confident of a first up win against the Goannas, who finished fifth of eight in first division last year.
The Jets reserves are also rearing to go in their first match since 2004, with all players fine-tuning in an intra-club hitout on Saturday that drew 40 players to Bensons Lane, with the reserves starting at midday and the seniors at 2pm.
The Penrith/Nor-West under 18s also return to action on Saturday, kicking off their season in the under 18 Challenge Cup against Pennant Hills at Ern Holmes Oval on Saturday from 10am.
All Jets teams will return to new sponsor R.G. McGees on Saturday night 21/4.
