RESERVES MATCH REPORT V MANLY WOLVES
The Reserves took to the field with a few changes from the previous weeks huge win against Camden, and were confident of victory against a strong Manly outfit. The game started at a blistering pace, with no-one taking a backward step, as Adam Elmo Newton won plenty of the ball in the ruck, feeding running players David Hooters Beacroft, Kevin Conroy, Pete Pirate Richardson and Gerard Ranga Delaney. Andrew Hahn, Rod Rocket Bayne and Chris Disco Kyle were providing good options up front, while Captain Nick Bennett was well supported in the backline by Steve Psycho Steasek, Dayne Tangles Walker and Kirk Rowdy Wilson. The Jets were down by 16 points at quarter time, and showed great spirit to keep the half time margin to only 45 points.
Assistant Coach Garry Delaney asked his troops to dig deep in the second half, but Manly had other ideas, kicking 6 goals to none in the third quarter, sealing the game by the third break. The Jets threw everything they had at the visitors in the last, scoring a goal and keeping Manly to only 3 but the Wolves had the points in hand, winning the game 18.9-117 to Nor-West 3.7-25.

SENIORS MATCH REPORT V MANLY WOLVES
Seniors were missing Andrew Shagga Travers to a knee injury, but welcomed back midfielder and co-captain Casey BOFT Wenselowski from a month away with work, and took to the field with a fresh game plan, which worked very well, seeing the first goal of the game kicked by BOFT from just inside 50. The Jets kept Manly at bay for most of the first quarter, but lost Centre Half Back Peter Insert relevant nickname Kyle to a back injury, and took no further part in the game. (although he did pressure Coach Potts for a forward run, which was denied) The defence, led by Daniel Guffo Guthridge and Marty Corky Duncan, who contained the dangerous Wolves goal machine Razzle Rawle, keeping him to four goals for the game. The midfield of Wenselowski, Damien Logan Brown, Jack Monkeyface Pascoe, Nick General Milkins were feeding off the ruckwork of Pete Steno Brown, showing glimpse of his vintage 2005 season. The Jets went to the first break down by 4 goals, and lost focus in the second, as Manly’s running game was hard to contain. Julian Kasby, on loan from Partner club East Coast, was playing inspired football, racking up countless possessions on the wing, as was Don Duck Waterston on the opposite wing. Manly added 6 goals to and kept the Jets goalless to take a 58 point lead to the long break.
The second half was a much improved effort by the home team, as they applied hard pressure at the ball, and added the first two goals of the third quarter, with a brilliant individual effort from Pete Brown, who convincingly sold his opponent with a razzle dazzle sidestep and a kinda massive long range goal, followed by his traditional Jet impersonation. Wenselowski marked outside 50 and kicked truly with a team lifting goal, and the Jets matched the Premiers in the third term, keeping the Wolves to only three goals. Aaron Cuddles Whiles was proving an imposing presence on the half back line, with some crunching tackles on the running Manly players, while Guthridge, Adam Foxy Fox and Duncan were responsible for saving many attacking forays from the visitors.
The last term was a similar story, with a four goal to one quarter to Manly, but thw first half damage saw Manly leave Bensons Lane with a 94 point victory, 19.16-130 to Jets 5.4-34.
