Official Match Report

EHSC admin have recently erased previous incriminating notes made here by the BGSC TM, leaving only their biased account of the game below. This report was for the home-team to complete or should at least allow for both teams to contribute to the content! In that spirit, we will leave their comments below. Previous notes mentioned the disgusting conduct of the coaches, players and parents who were openly swearing and abusing the BGSC officials, including the ref, linesman, marshal and players. The marshal issued a warning but it fell on deaf ears. The BGSC ref was a parent volunteer and was doing his best to be fair to both sides. No official FV ref was assigned to this game, he did not deserve the level of abuse he received from EH.
No proof of any threats from any BGSC player was provided and to suspend a player based on allegations alone would be unjust.

Ref paused match when opposition had control for them to make a sub with the ball in play and in oppositions control. Player was played after being assured he was suspended, refer to email sent to FV regarding serious threats and player safety. Considering the threats leading to the game and knowingly player their player the club should have appointed an appropriate ref and not a parent who was clearly out of his depth. Duty of care to kids who are playing should be a first priority.
