FORMAL COMPLAINT:
Berwick Coach invaded the pitch which frightened one of our girls to tears.
The same player was subject to comments from the Berwick spectators which affected her wellbeing. the Brighton Marshall did not hear them and only found out later.
2 of the Berwick spectators sought out conflict with Brighton players and supporters.
The Berwick agitators claimed to be upset by the tackles on their players from Brighton players, however their own linesman (an experienced past player) explained that it is a contact sport and collisions do occur. The Berwick agitators claimed their player injured an ankle, we had a Doctor among our spectators who offered his help but it was rejected and the gril walked off. They wanted first aid supplies, but left before they could be procured. The Berwick agitators (not players) entered the pitch after the game to seek conflict with the home team group, accusing them of violence and threatening them with consequences.
This is completely unacceptable and certainly has no place in community sport.
The two agitators should be banned from attending community sporting events.
the situation was made worse by the absence of a REFEREE, we used a parent who did their absolute best.
