Yellow Cards awarded to Hume City Players - 15, 12 and 7Hume FC - The referee was a club nominated referee. The referring was inconsistent and was not maintaining the game in an orderly manner for both sides. In some instances, players were falling over after losing balance and awarded free kicks. Players were told by the referee not to run in direction of the goalkeeper following the movement of the ball as it was dangerous. At no time was this direction by the referee reflective of unfair or a dangerous play event with the goal keeper.
The yellow cards were issued to players frustrated by the decisions made, whilst the lines of enquiry from the females was heightened, this could have been avoid with consistent decisions by the referee. At no point should the players have continued the lines of enquires once the referee had made his decision. An example of the refereeing inconsistency was that at one point the referee placed both arms out in front of himself pointing towards the ground with no verbal direction to any of the players from either team leaving the players from both teams wondering what the issue was.
The players and coaching staff of Barnstoneworth United FC were a great team to play.
