At 12.30 pm, George Soldatos, the Coach from Heidelberg United (mobile 0419518596), called our Junior Club President, Kim Rawlings to advise that Heidelberg was unable to field a team for the Women’s Metro North West Game today, and that they would be forfeiting this fixture. I called George back to confirm this, and he advised that this was as a result of some girls calling in sick this morning, and others being away due to school holidays.
At 3.00 pm today Watsonia Heights had 13 players at Elder Street Reserve ready to play, and apart from some light rain, pitch conditions were in excellent. The Match Official Salih Al-Jelali was presented with the duly completed team sheet.
Result has been recorded as a 3- 0 win in favour of Watsonia Heights.
