Glen Eira win back to back games for the first time this season to moving them to 10 points from 5 games.

Glen Eira picked up where they left off last week with a relentless opening half where the attack was surgical while the defence left goalkeeper Michael without too many headaches.

With 5 goals in the first half Glen Eira were well served by their front three, 2 goals to striker Theo whilst wingers Alex and Daniel pitched in on either side of the half with well taken finishes themselves. Highlight of the first half would be between Theo’s solo run and cross to Daniel’s headed goal or the Glen Eira captain being told off by the referee after Glen Eira were themselves awarded a free kick.
[6:41 pm, 25/05/2025] Soccer Jonathon Distiller: Monash rallied in the second half and the game was much more closely contested after this break.

Monash’s goalkeeper did well early to parry a low shot from Liam but Theo was quickest to react to the rebound to cement his second hat trick in two games. From there, neither team was able to create much as Monash started to have some joy going to their wingers.

Left back for Glen Eira Anthony was strong in possession and a good shout for possible votes often stopping the trouble before there was too much worry. Anthony’s shooting however does leave a lot to be desired.

Vlad and Rudi were the perfect double pivot in possession and as the game was getting stale some quick passing from them and out to Aaron on the right resulted in the last goal of the game, a powerful run to the by line by Aaron and great cut back to Ben who couldn’t miss.
