Official Match Report

Middle Park U13 Girls put in a spirited shift against a strong Riversdale SC side this weekend. After having to forfeit last week due to injuries and player shortages, it was great to be back on the park—this time with Abby returning from injury and solid support from the younger squads. U11s Sophie Smallman and Martha Peters, along with U12s Lucette Egan and Emily DiGiovine, stepped in with determination and plenty of grit.

Riversdale came out firing, scoring twice early with quick transitions and sharp finishing. But Middle Park didn’t roll over. Captain Jeli pulled one back just before the break, and the team regrouped with stronger defensive shape in the second half.

Though the match ended 4–1, the effort was full of positives—more chances created, tighter structure, and plenty of resilience under pressure. Considering the squad mix and the bounce-back from last week’s forfeit, the girls should feel proud of how they competed.
