Official Match Report

Match had to be terminated in the 38th minute of the second half due to violent conduct and threatening behaviour from the North Sunshine Eagles FC team.Interchange players from the bench invaded the field of play and on field players made the security situation of the match too risky and my personal safety was in jeopardy by attacking players and other player's safety was also compromised.North Sunshine Eagles players were making continual threats well after the match was terminated and were yelling insults and abuse and threats as club security and marshals kept me safe in my referees room. There were players bashing and pounding on the referee's door well after the termination of the match and I was not allowed to exit my room due to safety concerns until all North Sunshine Eagles appeared to have the facility completely. This made the two following two matches unable to run at their normal times and therefore a reduction of the halves of both following matches had to be adjusted.
