Penrith Rams star Dave "Braddles" Bradley and partner Corinne Crist are ecstatic to announce the long awaited arrival of their daughter, Harper Eizabeth, who made her grand entrance at Nepean Private Hospital at 11:35 AM on Thursday. Harper and sister Emma Lea are currently negotiating contracts with the Ramettes for the star-studded team of the 2020's. Congratulations from all at Penrith Rams.

The 2012 season starts in earnest on Saturday April 14 when the Rams host three games at Greygums Oval and also hoist the 2011 Div 2 premiership flag. After a lengthy pre-season, interrupted by adverse weather and cancelled trial matches, the Under 18's take on North Shore in the opening 18's Div 1 match at 10 AM. Reserve Grade will be looking for win number two when they play 2011 adversaries, Macquarie University in the midday game whilst first grade open their season when the go head to head with last years Div 1 finalists, the Warriors at 2.10 PM. Both Third Grade and the Ramettes have the bye.

Penrith AFC will be holding a series of trial matches for all teams prior to the commencement of the 2012 competition. It is a requirement for insurance purposes that all players are registered prior to playing in these trials. Practice matches listed on next page and are subject to change.
Registration fees are now due. Players are reminded that the Rams have a "No Pay-No Play" policy. Payment arrangements are available. The club is still looking for new players in senior grades, Under 18's and the new ladies team, The Ramettes. Payment can be made at training or by direct deposit. Details on next page.

Penrith Ramettes training is held every Wednesday Night from 6:15 PM. The venue is Dukes Oval, Park St Emu Plains. Players are asked to bring runners/boots and a towel. Water is provided. Rams training singlets should be worn if possible.
This weekends proposed trial matches agaianst Pennant Hills and Holroyd-Parramatta have been cancelled due to the closure of both Gipps Rd and Wagener Oval. Training will resume again on Tuesday Night in preparation for the following week's trials.
The Ramettes Ladies team will now be training at 6:30 PM every Wednesday at Dukes Oval, Park St, Emu Plains. Thanks go to Emu Plains/Glenmore Park Lions juniors for making this great facility available.
Unfortunately, the upcoming trial against Queanbeyan Tigers to be held at Dairy Farmer Park, has been cancelled due flooding in the area. Penrith Ramettes entry into the 2012 Sydney AFL Womens Competition was formally accepted at the planning meeting held at the AFL offices on Tuesday Jan 31. The draw will be finalised in the upcoming weeks with the first game on April 14. 11 teams will participate in the competition with a 6 team final series.

Rams strength and fitness conditioner, Theo Paneras, is continuing to run weekend fitness sessions at Regatta Park, Emu Plains starting at 8 AM on Saturday. Jogs, sprints, hill climbs, boxercise, stretching and a recovery session at Penrith pool. Absolutely free of charge and open to all. Just bring yourself, runners, towel and swimmers.
All players, seniors, ladies and 18's are invited to attend along with anyone involved with the club.

Registration day will be held on Saturday 28th Januray at Weir Reserve (opposite Penrith Rowing Club) from 10 AM when an introduction by the coach and committee, registration, training session and BBQ will take place. Talented Rams Under 18, George Paneras, has been selected in the Western Sydney Under 18's team to compete in the Joss State Trials at Coffs Harbour in January. A dual award winner with Penrith this season, his first at the club, was a just reward for George, who joined the Rams in 2011 from Penrith Swans.
Western Sydney AFL received a huge boost this week with the acceptance of the Ramettes Ladies team being accepted into the 2012 AFL Sydney Womens Competition. The team will be based at Penrith and is open to all players 15 years old and above and will be administered by the Penrith Australian Football Club. More on next page.
The Penrith Rams are delighted to announce the appointment of Phil McGuinness as senior coach for the 2012 Sydney AFL season. McGuinness comes to the Rams highly credentialed after a stellar playing career in the SANFL, where he played 88 games and kicked 91 goals for Glenelg between 1991-95, before crossing to Port Adelaide where he played 134 games and kicked 177 goals between 1996 and 2002. Craig Sharp has been appointed as assistant coach and will be looking for a "threepeat" after guiding the 18's to victory in 2010 before again winning a flag with the Rams in Div 2 this season. Congratulations to Rams player and Board Member Adam West and his wife Julie on the safe arrival of their son, Jonah, at 3.30 AM on Nov 29. Julie did an amazing job and delivered a future Rams star weighing 3.94 kg and measuring 52 cms.
Jonah now takes over from Oskar Redfern as the clubs youngest supporter and both are expected to figure heavily in the 2029 AFL draft.
