1994 - John Humphries

John started to play for the 1975 Ellis Noack Green Valley u/15s premiers.He played again for the Doug Pritchard Green Valley u/17s losing grand final in 1977 winning the r/up B&Fs. In 1977 he also began playing senior football with the club then known as Southern Districts in the u/19s .John played in the losing 1979 Mick Chapman prelim side winning the most improved award and also made his senior debut on the ball for Ian (moe)Marston side.In 1980 John was captain of the Sam Grasso u/19s winning the B&F and playing 6 senior games.In 1981 John was appointed coach of the u/19s.John continued to play senior football for the Sth Districts,Liverpool,Sth West Sydney clubs between 1980-1990 these years included the honours of being club captain 1983, coach in 1986, playing in 2 premierships1987/88 one as vice captain as well as coaching the 1989 u/20s premiership.John also played 5 years of representitive football during this period.John moved and played in suburban Melbourne in 1990.Coming back in 1991 to play till 1996 in these years included coaching the 1994 reserves premiership and playing in the losing 1996 reserves grand final.In 1997 John was appointed coach of the Campelltown u/18s finishing 5th, and winning the u/18s premiership there in 1998.John gave up footy only to resurface in 2001 as the 1st ever St Clair Football club senior coach taking them to the grand final.In all John played over 350 senior games of football,collecting many awards and coached 3 flags.John now lives In Adelaide as a level 2 coach were he continues to teach the code at the local school as well as at the Reynella Football club.John has recently been appointed District schools coach for 2 years.

Terrys started playing football for Green Valley in the Under 11's where he stayed until Under 17's. In 1977 he began playing senior football with the club then knowns as Southern Districts in the under 19's team. Terry continued playing with the club until 1991 when he left to join Cronulla for four seasons. In all Terry played over 300 games of senior football over a period spanning almost twenty years. Over the years Terry collected many awards including most determined and the coaches award.

In 1996 Terry returned to the club as the reserve grade coach where he took the team to a Grand Final after finishing Minor Premiers.

2000 - John Bampton

John has been involved with the Magpies for over 20 years as both a player, coach and an administrator. Originally a member of the Liverpool Eagles John was one of the founding members of the Magpies after the successful merge of the Liverpool Eagles and Bankstown Bombers seniors clubs eventually playing over 150 senior games for the new identity.

In 2008 the Magpies formed their first ever Under 18's Team competing in the Sydney AFL Challenge Cup. The award for the best and fairest player in the Magpies U18's team is known as the "John Bampton Best and Fairest Trophy".

2008 - George Krejza

George Krejza

George Krejza has been involved at the football club since the 1990's when his eldest son George Jnr began playing football at the club and went on to becoming senior captain at the Magpies. Georges younger son Jason also joined the club and was a prolific centre half forward playing seniors as a 17 yo until a knee injury saw him reitre from football to concentrate on his cricket career (Jason took 12 wickets on debut for Australia in India).

Even though both sons have not played at the club for a number of years George is still at every home game where he operates the scoreboard whilst he also attends many of the clubs away games as a spectator.

Supporters and volunteers like George are invaluable to clubs like ours and we are lucky to have his continual involvement.

The attached picture shows George celebrating our 2010 premiership win with a beer from the cup back at Moorebank Sports Club.
