The Rams successfully acted as the catering club for the recently completed Sydney AFL First Division finals series.
The opportunity to do so does not come around too often, the last time Penrith had the catering rights was in 1998.
Logistically, the catering proved to be a nightmare this year as the finals were held at three different venues:
Wagener Oval (Week 1)
Kelso Oval (Week 2)
Mahoney Oval (Week 3)
The club would like to thank all those who came down at various stages over the four days of the finals series to help out in a wide variety of tasks:
Tim Badger, Luke Barr, Daniel Barnes, Vanessa Barnes, Glenn Bradley, Jason Bradley, Joe Bradley, Sue Bradley, Justin Brock, Andrew Brown, Matthew Burgess, Dale Chivas, Greg Corless, Tim Curtin, Jay Edwards, Doug Freeman, Lesley Freeman, Ryan Freeman, Michael Haynes, Mark Jackson, John Keane, Barry King-Smith, Margaret Lawson, John Perry, Nick Perry, Alan Prowse, Brendan Ridges, Mr Ridges, Kevin Scobie, Mel Scobie, Paul Swan, Mark Spooner, Mark Steunenberg, Jim Wright and Nathan Wright.
Without wanting to single anyone out, special thanks must go to Mark Jackson, Joe and Sue Bradley - who all did a mountain of work in organizing the four day operation. Also, to Jason Bradley who gave Mark a great amount of assistance on the eve of the Grand Final when the venue was changed at very short notice.
Thanks to everyone again and also many thanks to the staff of the AFL (NSW/ACT) Commission for their assistance.
