The weekend opened in grand style for the Rams, with Reserve Grade triumphing over Sydney University in the Preliminary Final at Blacktown ISP on Saturday. In a dour match in tough conditions, the game never reached particularly high standards. The Rams managed an early break and were able to maintain that during the course of the match, winning by a comfortable 17 points. The side now goes through to the Grand Final next week against Randwick.

Third Grade went into the game with confidence, having beaten Blacktown easily in their last Home & Away outing, plus also having had the week's rest. However, from early on it was evident that Blacktown came into the match with immense desire. The Rams simply could not function up forward, and it took until the final term to record their second goal. By that time the match was long gone.
Despite the disappointment, it was still a very successful season for Kev Kirk's side, the first time a Rams Third Grade side had made a Grand Final. Well done to all concerned.
