MOOREBANK MAGPIES WOMEN’S COACH APPOINTED
The Moorebank Magpies AFC are pleased to announce that Janet Love has been appointed to coach our Women’s side for season 2015.
Janet has a long history of being involved in all levels of women’s footy, dating back to her early playing days in Melbourne in the 1990’s. Janet has also has coaching experience at the junior level in more recent times. Janet came across to Moorebank last season to be a foundation player for our women’s team after a number of years at Auburn.
Janet impressed last year with her leadership skills, with her experience being invaluable to a number of first year players last season. Janet will continue to be a senior player at Moorebank, and will be assisted by 2014 coach Ian Prudham and Phil ‘Sponge’ Jones. Jenny Wicken has returned to be team manager for this season.
Following a successful inaugural season last year, the whole club is behind the women’s side as they look to continue their success this season.
Moorebank Magpies are proud to provide an opportunity for women to play AFL in South West Sydney. Any potential players should contact President Mark Coles (0424 249 078) or come down to training, held at Kelso Oval Panania on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 630pm.
