SCORING & MARGINS
SCORING
* Senior Grade's score of 7.5 (47) was the 12th 47 point score in the history of the club (1 by 5.17, 2 by 6.11, 9 by 7.5). The most recent time the club had kicked this score prior to this round was in the 2010 Senior Grade Grand Final when the Rams went down to Moorebank at Blacktown International Sports Park. Its first instance was in 1985 by Reserve Grade against St Ives at St Ives Showground. The club has actually won twice with 47 points. The most memorable instance was in 1996 when Reserve Grade played Sydney Uni at Greygums Oval. Sydney Uni were caught with 19 players on the field in the final term - Penrith appealed and won the game. (This was before the days when 19 players on the field resulted in automatic nullification of the score). Senior Grade's loss this weekend was the lowest losing margin the Rams have encountered with a 47 point score.
* Reserve Grade's score of 15.10 (100) was the 9th score of 100 points in the history of the club (1 by 13.22, 2 by 14.16, 5 by 15.10 and 1 by 16.4) and its 270th score of 100 points or more. Its first instance was in the 1981 Reserve Grade First Semi-Final against Campbelltown at Erskineville Oval and up until this round it was most recently scored last season by Senior Grade against Pennant Hills at Greygums. The Rams have never lost with this score.
* Third Grade's score of 8.12 (60) was the 17th 60 point score in the history of the club (3 by 8.12, 14 by 9.6). The score was first kicked in the club's sixth ever game, against Sutherland at Gwawley Park in 1981. The Ramettes kicked the most recent instance, before this round, against Auburn at Mona Park earlier this season. The win-loss ratio with 60 points is 3 wins - 14 losses.
* The Under 19s won for the first time ever for the club with a score 44 points, on the 17th occasion (1 by 5.14, 12 by 6.8, 4 by 7.2). Prior to this, the closest the Rams came to a win with 44 points was when Senior Grade went down to Western Suburbs at Greygums Oval by 4 points in 2012. The 44 point score first occurred in 1983 when Reserve Grade played Uni of NSW at Sales Park. The most recent occasion prior to this weekend was in 2013, when Reserve Grade played Nor-West Jets at Bensons Lane.
* The Ramettes kicked 33 points, the 10th instance of this score in Rams history (4 by 4.9, 6.by 5.3). This score has never won for the Rams, however the Ramettes lost by the lowest margin with 33 points (that margin being 32 points). It was first recorded by Senior Grade against Manly at Sales Park in 1983, and before this instance it was most recently scored by Third Grade against UNSW/ES at Greygums Oval last season.
MARGINS
* Reserve Grade's 46 point win was the 7th by the club (3 by Senior Grade, 1 by Reserve Grade, 2 by Third Grade and 1 by Age Grade). The margin first occurred in 1987, when Senior Grade defeated Hawkesbury at Greygums Oval and most recently had occurred in 2007 when Senior Grade repeated the dose against Nor-West Jets (formerly Hawkesbury) at Greygums Oval.
* Under 19 Grade's 5 point win is only the 5th win by that margin by the club (1 by Senior Grade, 2 by Reserve Grade and 2 by Age Grade). It first occurred in 1983, when Reserve Grade defeated Hawkesbury at Sales Park. This is the second time this season that the Under 19s have won by 5 points - they defeated Moorebank by that amount at Kelso Park in Round 2. Ironically, the score that the Rams Under 19s won with in this current match against Southern Power (6.8 44) is the identical score that Moorebank lost with in the Round 2 match.
VENUES
* The Rams have played 471 games at Greygums Oval, after first playing there in 1987. Our record there is 215 wins, 254 losses and 2 draws - with 9 abandoned.. In addition, the Rams have won another 33 games there by forfeit. Penrith's highest score there is Senior Grade's 50.33 (333) against Blacktown in 1994. Greygums has never been used as a Senior finals venue, although the old SFA pre-season competition has been held there.
TEAMS

UNDER 19s
* This is the 13th season that the club has competed against Southern Power and its former incarnations in Age Grade competition (commencing 1982), the record now standing at Penrith 20 wins and 22 losses.
* This win was the Rams' fifth win in a row against the Power, their last loss coming in the 2009 Preliminary Final at Henson Park.

RAMETTES
* The Ramettes are in their third season against Southern Power, after first competing in 2012.
* Despite losing, the Ramettes' final score of 5.3 (33) is their new highest score against the Power.
* The Ramettes' second quarter of 2.2 (14) is their best in any quarter against the Power. Their first term of 2.0 (12) is also their best opening term against the Power.
* Further to last week, where I posted - "After averaging 13.14 points per match in their first season, they have now more than doubled that average in their last two seasons to now average 29.58 points per match over their entire existence. Also, their percentage after their first season was 12.96 - it now stands at 47.19."
The Ramettes' record since their first season is:
13 wins, 7 losses, 838 points for, 755 points against, 111%. Average points per game 41.9.
GENERAL
* Penrith played 4 games against the same club at the same venue on the same day for the first ever time.
* Penrith played 5 games at Greygums over the one weekend for only the 4th time.
