Third Grade (Div 5)
Third Grade opened the weekend in fine style for the club with a hard fought 10 point win over Southern Power - their fourth win on the trot. After a rare scoreless opening term, the Rams set up the win with strong second and third terms, then resisting a Power surge in the final quarter.
Goal Kickers: K. Kirk 3, J. Edwards , J. Makin
Best Players: S. Lockhart, J. Edwards, A. Prowse, S. Scott, J. Masters, L. Donoghue
Reserve Grade (Div 3)
Reserve Grade recorded a rare - but welcome - win over the Power. The game fluctuated for the first three terms, with the Power looking ominous early. With only a kick in it at the final break, it was the Rams who dominated the final quarter to win by a solid 19 points.
Goal Kickers: D. Schroot 3, J. Shelley 2, J. Anasis 2, J. Sultana , M. Lewis , M. Jackson , B. Leech
Best Players: M. Brown, N. Rowley, J. Anasis, M. Lewis, D. Schroot, C. Triffitt
Senior Grade (Div 1)
Senior Grade came up against the lowly placed Pennant Hills and were never troubled by the Demons in a rather lacklustre game. Looking all over at half-time with a 40 point deficit, the Rams were surprised by a resurgent opposition who took the honours in the third term - only a late Rams goal steadied the ship. Penrith regrouped in the final quarter with six goals to nil to seal a comfortable win.
Goal Kickers: B. McGovern 3, J. Shephard 2, B. Robinson 2, J. Pianta 2, P. Pope 2, C. Withers , N. Wright , N. Gatt
Best Players: J. Shephard, J. Denton, N. Wright, J. Pianta, P. Pope, B. McGovern
Under Grade (Div 2)
Under 18 Grade came up against the top of the table Manly in a challenging game for the young Rams. A strong wind to the northern end of the ground favoured the visitors in the opening term and they responded with six goals in that and the third quarters. But the Rams were also able to use the wind to advantage and the end result of 37 points was a very credible outcome for the developing side.
Goal Kickers: J. Field 3, B. Camilleri , J. Zolfel , A. Leech , L. Veigel , L. Davey
Best Players: B. Camilleri, J. Watts, J. Field, J. Zolfel, L. Davey, A. Quicke
Ramettes (Div 2)
The Ramettes finished off the weekend with a game against the Mac Uni side which was creating havoc in the competition. But the girls battled well and managed to get on the board in the final minutes of the game, after making the visitors work hard for each and every score.
Best Players: N. Camilleri, J. Brown, N. Perrett, K. Burcher, S. Kostic, Z. McDonagh
