First Grade V Southern Power 2:10 PM - Gwawley Park
After an outstanding opening round that saw the Rams head the ladder with a win against Sydney Hill Eagles, they find themselves taking on premiership favourites, Southern Power, at the much maligned Gwawley Park on Saturday.
The Power have been a powerhouse team in recent years with grand final appearances in the last two years, both times going down to newly promoted Premier Division side, Manly, and they feel it is their year to hoist a Div 1 flag.
Last season, the Power had the better of the Rams with both games being hard fought and entertaining affairs. In round one, the Shire outfit had to fight to the line against Macquarie University and after being behind on the scoreboard for most of the first half, finally got the prize with a 19 point win.
The Rams trained well in the leadup to the clash and changes look to be minimal for the much anticipated match which will give a good insight into the season ahead

Reserve Grade V Southern Power 12:00 PM - Gwawley Park
Reserve Grade face another hard task when the play Southern Power in the curtain-raiser at Gwawley Park in the midday match. Still rueing last weeks loss to Sydney Uni after having their opportunities, the team gets the chance at opening up their Div 3 account.
Southern Power had a 13 point lead last week against Macquarie Uni at University Oval before squandering their lead to go down my a mere four points despite having six more scoring opportunites but will be primed to kick back on their home track.
The Rams would be disappointed with their match last week where they had an even share of the ball but could not convert it on the scoreboard. Lack of fitness and training was to be the downfall but the team returned in droves to the training track on the weekend which will put the selectors in an enviable position.

Third Grade V Southern Power 10:00 AM - Gwawley Park
Third Grade kick the dew of the grass at Gwawley on Saturday in the 10:00 AM clash against Southern Power. After last weeks opening round, they also will be looking to open their account against last years demoted Div 4 side.
Fitness proved the downfall for the side last week, with the team being very competitive for three quarters before stopping as if shot in the final term in hot conditions. A great roll up at training shows that the boys are keen to not see a repeat of that.
Southern Power also found scoring hard last week when they fell to Sydney Uni by 42 points after being only two points down after the first quarter. A second term 8 goal haul by the Students saw them pinch the match with scores pretty even in the second half.

Under 18's V Randwick City 10 AM - Greygums Oval
The much anticipated opening round for the young Rams sees them take on Randwick City Saints at Greygums on Saturday. After last week's opening bye, the moment of truth arrives for the Rick Allen coached team who have continued to assemble a good squad over the last month.
The team played a trial in March against Div 1 side, Macarthur Giants and performed well. Another intraclub game with seniors saw good signs and the team is ready to make an impact on this years competition.
Randwick were severly impacted with numbers last week in a big loss to Horoyd-Parramatta at home and will be keen to make amends with what should be a stronger side.
Angus Ehrl and Liam Veigel both got the opportunity to play in the senior ranks last week and performed well whilst the rest of the squad, many fielding the teal for the first time, will be eager to sing the club song at around midday.
The coaching and support job have done a magnificent job in pre-season and will now hand the baton over to the boys on Saturday

Ramettes V Southern Power 12:00 PM - Pioneers Park, Malabar
The time has finally come for the second-year Ramettes to put the kard pre-season behind them and hit the track. That moment comes on Saturday in the midday clash at Pioneers park when they take on premiership favourites, Southern Power in the opening round of the Army Sydney AFL Womens 2013 competition.
There is no doubt that the dedication and enthusiasm surrounds the Ramettes and again they have shown the club a great work ethic. With double digit new recruits, the team has impressed the coaches, jason Bradley and Wayne Burcher. Jen Brown takes the captaincy role this year with Nat Camilleri and Kate Easthope as her deputies. All have proved inspirational in the past and a good year is on the horizon.
Southern Power were the stronger team in last years clashes but the Ramettes will be looking to reduce that advantage considerably. The team played a trial game and went down to Div 1 side, Newtown Breakaways in a sometime brutal encounter. They avenged that defeat in a later match to get the better of Auburn Tigers.
Whatever the rsult on Saturday, the team is expected to keep improving during the season with the new players finding their AFL feet
