Greygums Oval was in perfect condition on a brilliant day as third grade took on unbeaten team, Sydney Uni in the Div 5 clash. The unusual 8:30 AM start for Penrith included a couple of withdrawals and two emergencies were late inclusions with the team being able to field a full squad of 22. The student were able to edge to a 14 point lead in the first term, but got into overdive and led by 43 at the big break. It wasn't until the final session until a Christian Triffitt goal gave the home team their first major, but the Rams tried hard against their classy opponents before going down by 92 points. Jason Scala was the best for the Rams and did plenty of work in the backline. First year players Taylor Cramp, Mark Jansen and Matt Warbrick all performed very well whilst the experience of Christian Knight and Justin Weller added structure to the team. The Rams will be confident of securing their first win when the face Holroyd-Parramatta next week at Gipps Rd

The Under 18's were again hit by a glut of unavailable players in their match against the well performed Illawarra colts and were to call on Blue Mountains Under 16's, Jacob Field and Iden Quickie to field a full squad. Illawarra, with the help of a breeze, jumped the Rams in the first quarter to take a 36 point lead, but Penrith fought back and each team scored three apiece in the second. The bigger Lions pack again took control in the second half and ran away for a convincing win. Martin Wyburn was outstanding for the Rams along with co-captains Matt Purse and James Devlin whilst the trio of former Blue Mountains Kangaroos juniors Sam Hunt, Harry Doyle and Jesse Hyland all put in good performances. Billy Nicholson was the multiple scorer with a fine treble. The task doesn't get any easier next week as they take on last years premiers, Riverview at Greygums and are looking to repeat last year's surprise win over that side.

The reserve grade match saw fourth place Manly, after three succesive wins take on the Rams who had lost their last two matches in the 12:30 PM fixture. Penrith had been the victims of slow starts in recent weeks but came out of the barriers full of running with a 6.2 term keeping the Wolves scoreless. They increased their lead to 52 at the big break and relished their return to form running out 90 point winners and proving they are in the rumming for this years flag after last years heartbreaking Grand Final loss. Brayden Wilson got back to his best junior form with a tireless exhibition and was ably assisted by the experienced Adam West and Mark Jackson. Gordon Howell and Josh Chapple performed well whilst rookie Mark Batten has learnt the game quickly and has a huge upside. Luke Jones headed the top scorers with four, Tayt Corless booted three whilst Jason Jackson and Gordon Howell chipped in with two each to be the Rams multiple scorers. The win leapfrogged the over the Wolves to take fourth spot as they prepare to face Holroyd-Parramatta next week at Gipps Rd.

The final game at Greygums Oval saw the first grade clash between the Rams and 2011 premiers, the undefeated Manly Wolves. The visitors were looking at five straight and coming of a 156 point win against Sydney Hills Eagles the previous week.
Manly dominated the first term, but innacuracy saw them only lead by 7 as the Rams held them with good backline pressure. Matt Lewis took his chance to post the home teams only goal. The second quarter saw another good contest with the Wolves adding three more majors to a lone Blake Roberts goal and it was a handy 21 point lead at the break. Manly could only add one more to their tally in the third but Penrith were finding it hard to penetrate the slick 2012 favourites in the second hald, Manly then ran away with a 7 goal final term to win by 78.
Daniel Schroot hit his best form this year with an impressive display on the ball whilst Grant Berry shrugged off a dose of mid-week flu to finish his first match in two years in good style. Warhorse dave Bradley again led from the front along with the busy Ryan Boyd and Nathan Allison who both competed hard the entire match. Next week the team returns to Greygums to take on third placed UTS Bats and will need a win to keep their spot in the top 5.
