A strong Reserve Grade side opened its Division 4 season by travelling to Bensons Lane to take on long-term rivals Nor-West Jets. A five goal opening quarter was a strong start and the Rams went on with it in the second term, racing to a 46 point half-time lead. From there the result was never in doubt and even though the scoring slowed down somewhat in the second half, the final result was a very satisfying 17.12 (114) to 5.2 (32) win. Ben McGovern, in his first season out of the Under 18s, kicked an impressive 7 goals whilst newcomers, James Yates, Ed Kirby and Matthew Cummins all stood out.
The club fielded a third senior grade side for the first time since 2004. Travelling to Camden to take on their second side was always going to be a big ask, but the side opened well with a competitive first quarter to be ten points down at quarter time. Unfortunately Camden kicked a matchwinning 10 goals in the second term, which buried the Rams, but the side regained its compusure and held its own after that. For a side containing no less than 11 debutants, it was a very promising performance. Best were newcomer Brendan Moroney, club legend Alan Prowse and graduating Under 18 player Liam Murphy.
