First Grade V Balmain Dockers at Blacktown International SportsPark
Penrith atoned for their Division Four defeat with a strong final quarter effort to down Balmain by 35 points in the Division Two Grand Final.
It appeared it would be smooth sailing early for the Rams as they kept Balmain goalless in the first quarter, and opened up an 18-point lead at the first change.
Balmain did well to remain in the contest at half-time as Penrith continued their general dominance. Saying this, a four bounce, run and goal by Balmain's Jarryd Boyd helped keep the Dockers in touch.
The Dockers started well after half-time with a long goal to key forward, Markus Busch giving Balmain the momentum, and they kept Penrith to only two points for the quarter.
Joe Britton and Kyle Underwood began to give the Dockers better drive through the middle of the ground, as the margin closed to seven points into the final quarter.
The momentum changed back in favour of Penrith after a kick-out error gifted a goal to Dale Chivas. There would be no further surge like has been the case for Balmain in second halves during the finals series.
The floodgates began to open with Ben Robinson kicking truly before Blake Roberts scored two goals within as many minutes to allow Penrith to kick away.
Balmain did well to challenge but it was inevitably Penrith who proved why they have been the best side in the Division Two competition this season across the four quarters.
Daniel Schroot was rewarded for another strong individual performance with the medal for Best on Ground. Talls, Mark Woodford and Nathan Wright were also impressive for the Rams

Reserve Grade V Moorebank Sports at Blacktown International SportsPark
Moorebank toppled favourites Penrith by 19 points to claim the Division Four Premiership.
The Magpies, coming off two consecutive sudden-death wins over UTS and Macquarie University to make the decider, started the better of the two sides kicking five first-quarter goals to two.
There was more of a stalemate leading into half-time with both sides registering one goal apiece as Penrith started to wriggle their way into the contest.
The Rams would make their run in the third quarter with two Alex Henry goals lifting the favourites into a slender lead going into the final change.
Moorebank were not to be denied though as their defensive press kept Penrith scoreless. Anthony Simpson was superb in the middle of the ground, along with Francis Wanrooy. David Weightman topped the goal scorers with three majors.
Penrith were well served by Tayt Corless and youngster, Jack Ponton.
It was to be the Magpies day though as they prevailed in a tightly fought affair
