General
* Penrith enters its 20th season vs Manly-Warringah in Senior Grade and its 24th season vs Manly-Warrngah in Reserve Grade.
* The club won all three grades on the same day/weekend for the 23rd time.
Players
* Congratulations to the following players who made their debut for the club in this round:
Senior Grade (1)
Brad Redfern
Reserve Grade (2)
Jacob Clark, Joshua Chapple
(Jacob kicked two goals and Joshua one goal on debut)
Under 18 Grade (1)
Cameron Forrest
* Congratulations to Dale Chivas on kicking his best individual tally for the club (5 goals) - his previous best was four, achieved twice.
* Similarly, congratulations to Rick Ooms on kicking his best individual tally for the club (3 goals) - his previous best was two, achieved three times.
Teams
* Senior Grade's 71 point win was the first time the club had ever won a game by that margin. Up to 100 points inclusive, the only winning margin left to achieve is 94 points.
* A number of the missing winning margins have now been knocked off in the last few years - 27 points, 71 points, 90 points, 91 points and 97 points all having been achieved since the start of 2009. 91 points in particular is on a bit of a roll - having never been achieved in the club's first 28 seasons it has now been achieved three times in three years.
* Manly-Warringah kicked its lowest score against Penrith in Senior Grade. It's 4.14 (38) "bettered" its previous 5.9 (39) by a point. That score was kicked on 15th July, 2000 when Penrith won its first ever Senior Grade game against Manly at Weldon Oval.
* Senior Grade's score of 16.13 (109) was the club's 9th ever score of 109 - 1 x 14.25, 2 x 15.19 and 6 x 16.13. The club has never lost a game when it has kicked 109 points.
* This was only the third time Senior Grade has kicked 100+ points against Manly, with the club winning on all occasions (out of five wins in total vs the Wolves).
* This was Senior Grade's first win vs Manly-Warringah since 6th August, 2005 (also at Dukes Oval), breaking a losing sequence of 7 games since that game.
* After losing 37 games on the trot vs Manly-Warringah (7/5/83 - 8/8/09), the Reserve Grade now won the past three clashes against the Wolves (19/6/10 - 16/4/11).
* Well done to Reserve Grade on breaking a dubious record! They now hold the Rams record for the most behinds kicked in a one-goal quarter. 1.9 (15) breaks the previous record of 1.8 (14) kicked in a quarter on three separate occasions by the Under 18s - in 1998 vs Ingleburn at Gipps Road, in 2000 vs Sutherland (now Southern Power) at Greygums Oval and in 2008 vs Manly-Warringah at Greygums Oval.
* Reserve Grade's score was precisely the same as the last time they played Manly-Warringah in 2010 - 15.21 (111). And Senior Grade also kicked the exact same score of 15.21 (111) when playing Holroyd-Parramatta at Gipps Road in 2010.
* In fact, the club has kicked 111 points 6 times and on five of those occasions the score has been 15.21. The other 111 score has been 17.9, meaning the club has never kicked 16.15. Five of the six 111 scores have been wins, with one loss - the 1994 Senior Grade Elimination Final vs Wollongong. That match was in fact a draw at full-time (Wollongong 16.8 to Penrith 14.20) and the Rams eventually went down by a point in extra time - 17.10 (112) to 15.21 (111).
* That losing score of 15.21 (111) in 1994 was not the highest Rams score to lose a match. The highest score a Penrith side has ever kicked in losing a game was Senior Grade's 18.7 (115) vs Uni NSW in 1994 at the Village Green - Uni of NSW kicking 21.14 (140).
* Conversely, the highest score kicked by a side against Penrith when the Rams won the game was also in Senior Grade in 1994 at Kelso Oval. Bankstown kicked 22.13 (145), only to go down to Penrith by 20 points - 25.15 (165).
* The Under 18s' 14 point margin pushed that margin into equal second on the all-time winning margins list. The most common winning margin is 18 points (10 times), then equal second with 9 times is 14 points and (amazingly!!!) 92 points. Here is the most common winning margins list Top 5:
18 points - 10 times
14 points - 9 times
92 points - 9 times
1 point - 8 times
31 points - 8 times
* The Under 18 score of 10.9 (69) was the sixth time the club has kicked a 69 point score - and all have been 10.9. Despite being such a low score, on five of the six occasions it has been a winning one.
* The Under 18s recorded their inaugural win in Premier Division (whilst it has been a separate competition to the Challenge Cup - the Rams have won before when the Under 18s has been a single Sydney wide competition).
* The Under 18s recorded their first win against UNSW/ES since 26/5/2007, breaking a losing sequence of three games.
