Congratulations to club evergreen David Cummings on playing his 200th game for the club.
Dave arrived at the Rams as an 18 year old at the start of the 1997 season, having moved to the Penrith area from interstate and not having played football since his junior days.
After his initial season, he settled in to become a permanent Senior Grade fixture, so much so that he won the Senior Grade Best & Fairest award in only his second year at the club.
Now in his 14 season with the Rams, Dave's versatility has been his trademark. He has played forward (182 goals in his career to date) and as a utility player around the ground when needed.
Notable about his game is his strong vertical leap, to the extent that he has been able to successfully ruck against much taller opponents in many games. It has also enabled him to take a number of "speccies" over the years.
He has also been a very loyal clubman, having continued his career with Penrith whilst living in the inner city at one stage, and has also contributed off-field in running the canteen for two of the club's three years at Dukes Oval in 2003 & 2004.
His "Clubperson of the Year" award in 2003 acts as testament to his off-field commitment to the Rams.
Dave becomes the ninth person to play 200 games for the Rams, and is only one of six players to have passed the 150 game mark in Senior Grade.
Well done Dave from everyone at the Rams.
