Penrith travelled to the new venue at Mahoney Park to play the undefeated UNSW/ES side. And, thanks to the Rams` persistence, the ladder leaders didn`t get everything their own way.
After sharing honours in the opening term, the game was lost for the Rams when their opponents kicked 7.5 to nothing in the second quarter.
After half-time, the game was an even contest with Penrith again showing that they desperately need to put together four consistent quarters to match the top sides.
Final scores were: UNSW/ES 14.12 (96) d Penrith 5.6 (36)
Goalkickers: D. Seymour 2, C. Jaworski, J. King, J. Anasis
Best Players: M. Payne, T. Corless, L. Gippel, J. King, M. Morgan, N. Perry
