General
* Saturday was the first time that Penrith has played Auburn in any grade since 16th June, 1990 when Senior Grade won by 7 points at Greygums Oval. It was the first time Reserve Grade had played Auburn since 1st August, 1987.
* Saturday was the first time that Penrith had played the East Coast Eagles under that name in Senior Football (the club was previously known as Baulkham Hills). The last time a Rams Senior Grade played Baulkham Hills was the Seniors' First Semi-Final of 1989 (9th September).
Players
* Congratulations to the following players who made
their debut for the club in this round:
Senior Grade (1)
Max McNamara
Under 18 Grade (10)
Nicholas Adams, James Heath, Gordon Howell, Ben McGovern, Tom Noble, Rick Ooms, Brendan Reed, Luke Simmons, Grady Tapping, Handy Thorne
* Congratulations to the following former players who returned to the club in this round:
Glenn Bradley-Labra (last played 2008), Brent Venables (2008)
* Congratulations
to Stuart Ayres on kicking his 100th goal for the club.
* More sets of brothers have now represented the Rams:
Max McNamara joined his brother Tom (who played in 2008); Anthony and Nicholas Edwards; Josh and Tom Hall; and James Heath joined his brother Danny, who played in the Rams 2001 Under 18 Premiership side.
* To date, 56 sets of brothers (including 4 sets of twins) and 1 set of stepbrothers have been recorded as playing for the Rams
* Tom Hall is a very distinguished name at the Rams. In 1982 Tom Hall kicked 126 goals in a season for the club, the only player to have kicked the "ton".
* Which player is on the verge of playing 150 Reserve Grade games for the Rams - with only two other players having achieved this feat to date (of whom one still has a very prominent on-field role with the club)?
Teams
* Senior Grade's win against East Coast Eagles/Baulkham Hills
extended their longest winning sequence against that club to 8, commencing 22nd August 1987.
* Senior Grade went past 2000 points against ECE/BH - the 7th club they have achieved this mark against (the highest being Hawkesbury/Nor-West Jets, 5236 points).
* Reserve Grade managed its greatest losing margin against Auburn in Reserve Grade and its lowest score against Auburn in any grade. In Reserve Grade, the Rams have won only twice in seven attempts and neither of those were on the field (both being forfeits).
* Under 18 Grade kicked its highest score (19.20) and recorded its highest winning margin (115 points) against East Coast Eagles/Baulkham Hills. It also kept ECE to its lowest score against the Under 18s (3.1). The win took the 18s' longest winning sequence against ECE/BH to 8 (commencing 12th May, 2007).
* The Under 18 win was the club's 400th on-field victory (ie excluding wins by
forfeit/protest). Senior Grade then started the win tally march towards 500!.
