Match Report - Reserves
Reserve grade went into this game looking for a good win after having
lost narrowly to the Goanna's in the first round match, as well as Jason
Makin playing in his 200th game for the club. With a number of the
under 18's again being available after their opposition forfieted, the
Rams looked strong all around the ground and had a great start to the
match, kicking 7 goals to 1 in the first term. By half time the Rams
had the game won, leading by 80 points. In the second half the Goanna's
provided alot more resistance and with Kyle McDonagh, getting injured
during a late tackle early in the second half, the Rams lost their way.
Despite McDonagh being unable to take any further part in the game and
with the bench down to only one player by three quarter time, the Rams
went on for a great 86 point victory. The coaches award went to Jon
Barry who provided a great target up forward kicking two goals and
getting plenty of the ball around the ground. Jason Makin in his 200th
game kicked 3 goals, however undid some of his great work by missing a
couple of easy shots. Dale Perry and Christian Knight again had great
games playing out of the centre, along with young guns Benjamin
Robinson, Lachlan Gippel and Harley Stibbard.
