Last year the Penrith Rams were obliging enough to travel out to Orange to play the tigers in their first pre-season match since the demise of the Amaroo cup a number of years ago.
In 2009 the Tigers were ready for road trip through the "sandstone" curtins to the foot of the mountains, to take on what has been touted a much improved side on last year. Fortunatley and somewhat unfortuatley, Penrith have had to travel to Orange (due to ground booking in Penrith) for the second meeting of the two clubs.
Last years game was won by the Tigers in a skillful display, with both teams playing within the spirit of the game. This year Im sure will be no different allthough the Tigers must bring their "A" game with all reports saying Penrith WILL be stronger opponents than last year.
Good luck to both teams, and don't forget to get down to the Hotel Orange at 7.30pm for the first "Karaoke" of the season, Entry only $10/person and if last year is anything to go off their wont be a dry eye in the house........wonder if Luke will follow through with his rendidtion of "Summer Lovin" (with a twist!!) DONT MISS IT.

The Under 18's are looking to improve on their effort once again after a hard fought battle on March 14 when they accounted for Wyong Lakes Magpies at San Remo. In a close contest, the Rams had to endure three quarters of hard football before finally gaining the upper hand against the Central Coast outfit. On March 21, they take on the classy Baulkham Hills/East Coast team who will undoubtedly be highly skilled in the 3:30 PM match. The following week, the 18's play their final trial match against Western Suburbs Premier Cup team before the start of the season proper on April 4.
