Celebration of SWAFL History and Launch of Play On!

With the launch of AFLW over the coming weeks it is a great time to reflect and look back and remember some of the many women involved in our great game across Sydney for so many years.

Some of the founding members of the SWAFL are linking together for a celebration and are reaching out to anyone who was involved to attend a celebration of Women’s Football in Sydney.

The event will also run in conjunction with the launch of the book “Play On” which tells the amazing story of the road that women’s football has travelled to be launching a National competition.

This is a free event. Please help spread the word to any past SWAFL player/administrators to celebrate the roots of AFL growing in Sydney and join in the excitement about AFLW and the continued rise of football for women and girls in NSW.

When: 17^th February 2017, 6.30pm-8.30pm

Where: Western Suburbs AFL Club, 40 Hampton Street, Croydon Park
