The Wollondilly Knights Senior Australian Football Club is seeking expressions of interest for coaches and team managers for the 2017 season.
Following a successful season in 2015 (Division 4 Premiers) and another successful year in 2016 (Division 3 Premiers) the Wollondilly Knights are looking to further develop and grow the club with the introduction of a Division 5 team in the Sydney AFL.
2016 was an exciting time for the club with the introduction of a Women’s Division 1 team and relocation of our home ground to Hannaford Oval at Wilton. The Wollondilly Shire is an area of substantial growth and the club prides itself on strong links to family and the community.
We are currently seeking dedicated coaching staff for both the men’s (Men’s Division 3 and Division 5) and women’s (Women’s Division 1) teams to be a part of the 2017 journey and beyond with the below positions being vacant:
Men’s Senior Coach (Div 3), Assistant Coach, Manager
Men’s Senior Coach (Div 5), Assistant Coach, Manager
Women’s Senior Coach (Div 1), Assistant Coach, Manager
The successful applicants will posses the following attributes:
• Great communication skills
• Ability to implement game plans and structures
• Strong leadership skills
• Willingness and ability to develop players of various abilities and experience
All coaches should possess their Level 1 coaching accreditation or be prepared to complete this prior to the 2017 season (the club will reimburse any expenses for this course). Previous coaching experience is desirable
however we will consider all suitable applicants.
