Angus Rodgers claims the 2016 Snow Medal (Division One Best and Fairest)
Macquarie University Warriors player Angus Rodgers has claimed the Snow Medal after a brilliant season on Monday Night at the Phelan Medal awards evening.
Angus, who is 24 years old has won the Snow Medal in a thrilling Snow Medal count finishing with 16 votes, one vote ahead of the ineligible Lachlan Prior of the Holroyd Parramatta Goannas. Angus had a great year where he played 16 games in Division One where he polled eight times including four best on ground performances where he picked up the three votes.
Angus started the season with a bang where he polled in six of the first seven rounds of the season which ultimately propelled him into the Snow Medal position.
Lachlan Prior from Holroyd Parramatta finished second on 15 votes with Ryan Kennedy of Sydney University, Ryan Terry of Holroyd Parramatta and Jordan Pidgeon of Holroyd Parramatta finishing equal third on 13 votes.
