Jack Buckley takes out the Kealy Medal (U19 Division One Best and Fairest)
UNSW Eastern Suburbs Bulldogs player Jack Buckley has claimed the Kealey Medal as he enjoyed a successful season at the Phelan Medal Presentation at Doltone House on Monday Night.
Jack, who is 18 year old won the Kealy Medal in a close run race finishing with 22 votes, 3 votes ahead of South Coast Thunder’s Samuel Wilson. Jack had a great year where he played 18 games where he polled 10 times, including 4 best on ground performances where he polled three votes.
Jack had an incredible run home at the end of the season where he polled 11 out of a possible 12 votes in Rounds 14, 15, 16 and 17 which ultimately propelled him into contention. He has also been dangerous around goal kicking an impressive 21 goals this season.
Samuel Wilson from the South Coast Thunder finished in second place on 19 votes while Jesse Vidot-Coleman from the Pennant Hills Demons finished in third on 17 votes.
