Bremner takes out the 2016 Hart Medal (U19s Division Two Best and Fairest)
West Sydney Magpies player Kaya Bremner has claimed the Hart Medal as he topped off a stunning season at Doltone House on Monday night.
Bremner, who is 18 years of age claimed the Hart Medal after finishing an impressive 7 votes clear of Western Magic’s Thomas Morgan. Kaya Bremner played 15 games in Under 19 Division Two where he impressed and was called up to the Western Suburbs Premier Division side on four occasions. Bremner polled seven times in Under 19 Division Two this year where he impressed with four best on ground performances where he picked up the three votes on four occasions. He had an impressive streak in the middle of the Year where he polled 9 votes of a possible 12 in Rounds 5, 6, 8 and 9. Bremner is a Western Suburbs and Newtown Junior and has seamlessly slotted into senior football this year playing 21 games across three grades.
Thomas Morgan (Western Magic) finished the year in style taking out second place on 10 votes while fellow Western Magic player Maxwell Bragg finished in third on 9 votes with Luke Hyland (Western Magic), Jarred Lysaught (Campbelltown Blues) coming equal fourth on 8 votes.
