The 2016 13CABS Grand Final Sprint has extended an invitition to the fastest local community footballers to run on Toyota AFL Grand Final Day at the MCG.
The sprint heats are open to any person aged 18 years or over, currently registered to play community Australian Rules football in Australia. Players are required to register their details then participate in heats, with the Sydney heats to be run on the 19th August at Traway Oval, for the chance to progress to the 13CABS Grand Final Sprint on Saturday October 1.
The two fastest local footballers from each of the three heats will proceed to the final qualification race at the TradingPost.com EJ Whitten Legends Match. The winner of this race will compete on 2016 Toyota AFL Grand Final Day. This is a great opportunity for grassroots football clubs and players to be recognised on the greatest day on the Australian sporting calendar. The fastest local footballer will also receive a $1000 donation to their local club.
It is easy for individuals to enter, all they need to do is register on www.afl.com.au/grandfinalsprint and information will be emailed to the participant with format and timings of their requested screening heat.
