AFL Sydney Round 13 Rising Star Will Gowers (Sydney University)

AFL Sydney is pleased to announce that the 2016 Round 13 Rising Star is Will Gowers from Sydney University.

In Round 13, Will Gowers was named best afield for the Students in their 71-point loss to East Coast.

A small inside midfielder, with the ability to play up forward or on the wing, Gowers is originally from the Glebe Greyhounds Junior Football Club, which has also produced the likes of Sydney Swan Jack Hiscox and Canberra Demon Sam Clark and fellow SUANFC youngster Oscar Osbourne.

Having recently graduated from the Swans Academy, Gowers debuted for the Swans NEAFL side, after consistent mentions in the best for the Students Prems side. Following his best-on-ground performance from the weekend, Gowers will be looking to cement a spot in the Swans NEAFL side, which is bound for finals.
