AFL Sydney is pleased to announce that the 2016 Round 11 Rising Star is Jared Deep from the UNSW/ES Bulldogs.
Jared has made a strong contribution to the Bulldogs improvement this year together with the other under age players who have regularly been named in the best players each week this season.
Coach Stephen Dunkley was particularly pleased with Jared's role and he was judged best on ground against Manly as well as being nominated in the best in 6 of his 8 games so far in Premier Division.
" Jared's drive from the midfield was critical to our overall performance and ultimately the win against Manly, his pace in breaking the lines and delivering to our forwards for a player still only 17 was impressive."
Jared is a currently a Sydney Swans Academy player, a member of 3 under age premiership sides with Maroubra Saints and played in an U19 grand Final at just 16 and it is hoped that this success is to continue into his future playing time at the Bulldogs and beyond.
Congrats Jared!
