AFL Sydney is pleased to announce that the 2016 Round 8 Rising Star is Bailey Stewart from the East Coast Eagles.
Bailey comes to the Eagles with an already strong understanding of what it takes to be a quality player. He is part of the renowned Swans Academy as well as the NSW/ACT RAMS program and is very professional in his approach. He is an elite runner who is able to win his own contested football on the inside and use his pace to win it on the outside. Bailey's decision making in heavy traffic and his defensive pressure are key aspects of his game. This season, Bailey is averaging 23 disposals per game and ranks very high among his team mates for his defensive pressure acts. His first season of senior football have seen some very strong performances particularly given his age, and the coaching staff at the Eagles are very excited to have Bailey in the Premier Division team for their 2016 campaign.
