Women's Round 2 Rising Star Anna Johnston (Sydney University Bombers)

AFL Sydney are pleased to announce the Round 2 Women's Rising Star is Anna Johnston of the Sydney University Bombers.

Anna Johnston played her junior football for Queenwood in the Sydney Youth Girls League. Anna won 2 Regional Premierships (Swans Cup) with Queenwood, as well as 2 NSW State School Girl (Giants Cup) Premiership.

Anna joined the Sydney University Bombers at the beginning of 2016, and has been an activate member of the team, attending every single training session. Anna has become an integral part of the team her enthusiasm and passion are unmatched.

Playing in the half forward and on the half back line in round 2 against the Auburn Giants, Anna sparkled with her speed, deception and ability to win the ball out of the contest. Anna had countless disposals and set up several goals helping the Bombers to a very convincing win.

Anna is undoubtedly a player to watch in 2016.
