The Joss Grants are to provide funding assistance to clubs who are looking to undertake small scale facility improvements to enhance their club environment for the 2016 AFL season and beyond.
In 2016, there will be 10 grants of $10,000 available to community clubs across New South Wales and the ACT.
$5,000 will be provided by the AFL and $5,000 provided by the Joss Group.

Objective
To assist community AFL Clubs in NSW/ACT to attract and retain players, volunteers and umpires by improving their physical environment for the 2015 season.
Criteria
Grants will only be awarded to clubs whose focus is to improve the physical environment of their training and/or match day venue.
Projects could include building alterations or additions; building refurbishment; sports field lighting; fencing; scoreboard; goal posts; interchange benches; storage; irrigation; drainage; behind goal netting; etc.
PLEASE NOTE: Grants proposing the purchase of stock, equipment or uniforms will not be approved as part of this initiative.
Clubs must secure a contribution equal to or greater than $10,000. This needs to include at least a $5,000 cash component. The remaining funds can be either cash or in-kind works.
Projects must have a minimum value of $20,000 (minimum $15,000 cash + in-kind) with a maximum total value of $80,000.
Project time frames must be provided and all projects must be completed by the start of the 2017 season.
Process
Completed applications are to be addressed to AFL NSW/ACT Infrastructure Planning Department, PO Box 333 Strawberry Hills, 2012 NSW.
Applications must be received by 5pm on Friday 27 May, 2016.
All completed applications will be assessed and a shortlist provided to the NSW/ACT Facilities Committee.
The committee will consult with the relevant regional manager and also the Joss Group prior to approving any applications.
Any applications which do not satisfy all of the above criteria will be ineligible for funding support and will not be considered by the committee.
PLEASE NOTE: It is the club’s responsibility to ensure that a completed application is submitted. The Infrastructure Planning Department will not be responsible for chasing up clubs for additional information.
