Riordan Lee has claimed the McFarlane Medal to go along with his premiership medal in front of a packed room at Doltone House on Monday night.
The 23 year old midfielder has had a season to remember by finishing the season on 23 votes, 7 votes ahead of Penrith’s Matthew Payne and East Coast’s Jared Patira. Lee’s victory comes on the back of leading his Division Three side to premiership glory over UTS last Saturday afternoon.
Lee played every game in 2015 polling in nine of those including six games where he polled maximum votes. Lee went through a purple patch between round 11 and rounds 15 where he polled 13 votes out of a possible 15.
Payne finished in second place on 16 votes while East Coast pair Patria and Daniel O’Connor finished in equal third on 13 votes. UTS Richard Fitzgerald rounded out the top five with 12 votes.
