Wednesday 25th March saw the inaugural NEAFL Mini Draft held at the AFL offices in Moore Park.
At the mini draft, those Sydney University listed NEAFL players who do not meet the Sydney University Premier Division criteria went into a mini draft to be aligned with an AFL Sydney Premier Division club should they not be selected to play in the NEAFL team.
The mini draft order was in the reverse order of the 2014 Premier Division ladder with a couple of exceptions including the elevation of North Shore by one position as compensation, East Coast moving to the bottom of the selection order due to their off season return to AFL Sydney from the NEAFL and Sydney University not part of the process.
2015 saw seven live picks in the mini draft and the results are as follows:

Manly-Warringah and East Coast did not get a selection in the draft due to only 7 live selections and no clubs passing.
With most of these high quality players expected to play some AFL Sydney football throughout the season, the new player pathway process should be of benefit to the AFL Sydney competition.
