Southern Power’s Andrew Denoon has won the Hart Medal after a close count for the Under 19 Division 2 Best and Fairest player.
The young Southern Power midfielder polled 12 votes finishing two votes ahead of Penrith’s Patrick Pope with a group of four players finishing in third place on 8 votes.
Denoon polled regularly throughout the year with votes every couple of rounds. He was voted best on ground in rounds 8 and 11 while also polling votes in rounds 2, 5, 6, 16.
Denoon and Pope were locked at 10 votes apiece before Denoon polled two votes in round 16 to break the deadlock and claim the medal.
Denoon is still eligible for Under 19’s in 2015 and already is seen as a long term leader at the Southern Power.
