Analysis: Western Suburbs have been the dominant team in the Under 19s Division Two only losing the one game for the year. The Round 18 clash against Moorebank will be their best chance to feel final pressure and claim a win against the only team to defeat them in the regular season so far.
Prediction: Will claim the minor premiership and will go in favourites.
Moorebank
Currently: 2nd
The Run Home: BYE, Penrith (H), Macarthur Giants (H), Western Suburbs (A)
Analysis: Have the toughest run home facing the other top four sides in the last three weeks. The game against Penrith could go a long way in deciding who will gain the double chance opportunity. If they can knock off Western Suburbs in Round 18, they will go into finals with confidence.
Prediction: They will win two of their last three games and finish second
Macarthur Giants
Currently: 3rd
The Run Home: Western Suburbs (A), Southern Power (H), Moorebank (A), Macquarie Uni (H)
Analysis: After a slow start to the season, the Giants have stormed into finals contention. Games against Southern Power and Macquarie Uni will be must win games to make sure they make the final four and winning either one or both of the games against Moorebank and Western Suburbs could lead them to a top two finish.
Prediction: Will probably need to win at least two of their last four games to claim a final spot.Fourth.
Penrith
Currently: 4th
The Run Home: Macquarie Uni (H), Moorebank (A), BYE, Holroyd Parramatta (H)
Analysis: Penrith will beaiming for a top two finish and that result isn’t out of the question. If they can win their last three games and results go their way, they could earn the double chance. The Round 18 clash against Holrod Parramatta could be a game where they need to win big to improve their percentage.
Prediction: Moorebank will be too strong for them but will win their other two games and finish third.
Macquarie Uni
Currently: 5th
The Run Home: Penrith (A), BYE, Holroyd Parramatta (H), Macarthur Giants (A)
Analysis: With a good percentage, Macquarie Uni are still well and truly in finals contention. Play the two sides above them battling for finals positions and if they can beat both of them, it will nearly guarantee them a finals berth. The Round 18 clash against Macarthur Giants could decide who gets that last finals spot.
Prediction: Will just fall short of a finals berth. Fifth.
Southern Power
Currently: 6th
The Run Home: Holroyd Parramatta (A), Macarthur Giants (A), Western Suburbs (H), BYE
Analysis: Although sitting in second last, Southern Power are not without a chance of making the finals. Will need to win their last three games to be a chance with the game against Western Suburbs being the toughest. With the last round bye, they could be awaiting results to see if they progress to the finals.
Prediction: Too much ground to make up and will finish sixth.
