13 - Anthony Robertson
Club: Manly-Warringah
Previous: North Shore (2007-08)
Age: 23
Position: Midfield/Half-Forward Flank
Analysis:
One of the strongest debates amongst the panel was about not whether, but where "Robbo" would fit into the top 20 list.
Having played with Manly-Warringah since reaching senior age, Robertson has won most accolades available for an individual.
During these glory years for the club, he is a three time club Best and Fairest and a bonafide member of the best midfield of the competition.
Unfortunately, a recent injury will dent the GIANTS chances given his output but they will be hoping for a late season return from him.
As predominantly an inside midfield, his ability to go forward and kick goals (25 in 2012 and an amazing 40 in the 2013 Premier Division premiership year) is uncanny and arguably the best in the competition.
Was named in the 2013 AFL Sydney Team of the Year, named Best on Ground for the AFL Sydney Development team against RIverina FL last year. Robbo was a winner of the Kealy Medal in 2008 as the League Under 18 Best and Fairest whilst at North Shore. Interestingly, he scored more votes than 2003 winner Kieran Jack.
2014 also saw him claim a place in the AFL Sydney Senior Representative team which defeated AFL Canberra.
The top 20 so far:
20 - Brenton Mumme (Western Suburbs)
19 - Sam Carruthers (North Shore)
18 - Lachlan Kilpatrick (Manly-Warringah)
17 - Matt Carey (Pennant Hills)
16 - Tom Sundberg (UTS)
15 – Matt Edwins (Campbelltown)
14 – Ryan Plant (UNSW/ES)
13 – Karl Merson (St George)
12 - Stephen Wray (Pennant Hills)
